Failing Forward

On my book shelves I have 15 John Maxwell books (I even claim to have read most of them) - the guy is a legend.

I also attended a 6 day leadership course that he wrote and organised called the 'Million Leaders Mandate'... which I then passed on to approx 40 leaders at The Crown Church.

I hope you understand that I am a fan of his writing.

Lois gave me his book 'Failing Forward' for Christmas and I am finding it so helpful:

There is no achievement without failure.

Get a new definition of failure. Regard it as the price you pay for progress.

Failure isn't so bad if it doesn't attack the heart.
Success is all right if it doesn't go to the head.

God uses people who fail - cause there aren't any other kind around.

Past hurts can make you bitter or better - the choice is yours.

The book contains much wisdom for people who are not afraid to risk, to have a go and recognise that failure does not have to be an enemy but be a friend.
